Captivate 7.01 Update - Exit Command - Closing Project. Are folks still having a problem with this?

In the info for the Captivate 7.01 patch it states:

"The exit command will stop the project playback and cleanly close the player. If it’s on a web page it will even close the tab."

This has been a major headache for me in publishing projects, as the projects will not close without actually closing the brower.  I was excited to see that this problem was to be resolved with the patch.  Problem is it doesn't seem to work.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Any feedback is appreciated.

P.S. I'm fairly new to using Captivate, and have no real experience with programing or technical computer stuff.

You say the projects will not close without closing the browser. Are you saying that you just want the Captivate object to close and leave the window it was running in to stay open?

I want to have a button/click box/ or the exit button on the playbar to close a project when clicked.

Some of the projects I'm creating are for reference only, and wouldn't require a user to go through the whole project. Once they've found what they are looking, I'd like to have button they press and the project closes.  My problem is when a project is published, I'm primarily using PDF output, that the button/click box I've inserted doesn't do anything when clicked.  After beating my head against the wall for a bit, I did some research on this forum, and others, and realized the problem wasn't unique to me.

From my understanding, the 7.0.1 patch was suppose to fix this based on the info in the update notice.  From what I've found it didn't.  I just what to know if others are experiencing this, if so is there a way around this, am I just confused, or if I should just reconfigure the design of the project.

So your content is PDF output and you have a button in the content that you want to click and it will close the entire PDF?

If so, I think you will find that the Exit button in question is more designed for HTM/SWF use, and even then it will only work in certain situations and in certain browsers with certain security.  It's a complex issue.
