Captivate 8, next button on quiz

I've created a quiz in Captivate 8 and all is well, except... the user answers a question, then clicks submit. they are told if it is right or wrong and then told to click the Next button. I don't want them to be able to click Next without having answered the question. So, in Quiz> Settings, I set the Required field to "Answer all - the user must answer every question to continue." This works, but it lightens the Next button, so it almost looks grayed out. I thought maybe it would come back to full color after clicking Submit, but it doesn't. It works as I want it, but I don't want the Next button to be the lighter color - I want it to be the full green it's supposed to be. Any thoughts? Did I take the right approach? Other suggestions? Basically, I want the user to have to answer the question before moving forward to the next question. Thanks for your help!

For question slides the Next button has a double functionality:

  1. During the Quiz it acts as a 'Skip' button, is that what you want?
  2. It is necessary during Review, because it will act as a real Next button in that situation (his has changed in CP9 but you are still on CP8)

My recommendation is not to mess up with the normal design of Question slides. Read about it in this article:

You'll see that my recommendation is to drag the Next button under the Clear button to make it invisible by the user during the Quiz.

This seems not to be an answer to your question. Is the Next button that you are talking about the default Next button that you'll find on the Quizzing Master slides? The Submit process is in two-steps:

  1. User clicks on Submit button and feedback messages appear, in which the next action is mentioned (press Y or click on the slide); playhead remains paused
  2. When the user finished reading the feedback, he clicks on the slide (or presses Y) and the playhead will be released, the actions for Success/Last Attempt (if attempts are exhausted) will be executed.

You see that clicking on the Next button is not included in that scenario at all.
