I have a 'retake quiz' button active at the end of my project, and nearly all the perimeters work as I want them to.
However, I want the learners to review the content of the elearning module before they redo the quiz (i.e. the retake quiz button to take people to slide 1) and it currently takes them to a knowledge check mid-module.
I have seen there are fixes to get the button to go back to the beginning of the quiz and avoid the KC questions, but not one to take the user back to the beginning of the module.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Lindsey
KC questions are never included in Retake of a quiz. Have a look at: Knowledge Check Slides - tips - Captivate blog No fix is necessary.
The easiest way to achieve what you want is to put a scored object (button, Text Entry Box) on the first slide. Since Retake will navigate the user to the first scored object, you could achieve it that way. SInce the whole project is then included in the Quiz scope, no issues with that either.

Thank you for your quick reply! I think because I am in Captivate 8, my retake button sends me straight back to the KC slides.
However, using your logic, a scored object on the first slide would be ideal. Which one/how do I insert one that has the effect but doesn't interfere with the functionality of my first slide?
Thanks,
Lindsey

Sorry, thought you talked about the KC slides of 9.
Use a button "Start" that has to be clicked, or a TEB, validated that asks
the name?

I have a button that I can use for this, however, the only way that it works is if I include the button in the quiz, which means I have to assign a value to the button (which in turn skews the quiz results).
Am I misunderstanding?
Thanks,
Lindsey

I have turned my playbar off for the entrance slide meaning that the user has to click on the 'enter' button and is therefore awarded the point needed!
Thanks for your help 🙂
