Captivate 8 User interaction: clicking on image to identify something

New Here ,
May 29, 2015 May 29, 2015

I'd like users to click on 10 areas in an image, and when they click a text box would appear explaining the significance (or lack thereof).  They should be able to click in any order.  How can I do this?  It doesn't need to be a quiz, but I've already tried using click boxes and it couldn't handle timing or lack of order.  Suggestions please?

Basically you need to find a resource that will help you learn how to use Advanced Actions.

Rod Ward has one such resource.

Have several examples of that work flow  on my blog, and I personally would use shared actions since you are on CP8.

Parameters in Shared Actions - Captivate 7 vs. 8 - Captivate blog

You can do it with duplicate advanced actions as well of course.  Those are

treated in Rod's book.

Does the user have to click?  If not, you may be able to try using rollover captions.
