Seems captivate 9 isn't so friendly with narration audio. I'm back with my next audio issue. I decided to do my audio narration outside of captivate 9 since it was glitchy and had random unexplained audio drops outs with mouse clicks. It also doesn't keep audio silence if you add it, and it's just easier to edit outside of Captivate.
I spent a week getting a 10 minute captivate audio/narration presentation done just right. I was going to try and add some background music, but I wanted a second copy. I exported a second copy and renamed the project. When I did that, the audio/narration apparently changed. Now, all the audio has shifted and moved on the slides. How is this possible? All I did was Save as, and rename the captivate presentation. Both copies have the audio shifted and both have the shifts and splits going in middle of words on slides and now gaps in middle of slides!
How can I restore my audio/narration?
Thanks.
I'm answering my own question. I was using Audio/Record to/All Slides/Edit/Adjust Volume/Normalize - to get the best volume for the presentation. But that messes up the slides. So, I guess I'll need to figure out a better way to adjust the volume or just go slide by slide.

I have recorded well over 1000 audio clips and imported them to Captivate, with very few problems. I record everything in Adobe Audition, although I have used other applications as well, and there are excellent free audio recording applications available. I have done some minor editing in Captivate. This takes more time, but my results are excellent.
Could you please give me some additional information?
Did you record the audio in Captivate, or use another application?
What format did you save the audio in?
It sounds like you recorded one 10-minute audio clip. Is that correct, or did you use one clip per slide, or some other variation?
How did you import it to slides?
You say you exported a second copy. What does that mean? Exported from Captivate?
