Captivate 9: Effect problems in review mode

Hi,

I am using Captivate 9 and creating some animations using the out-of-the-box effects from Captivate itself. However, whenever I go to preview the module (for example "Next 5 slides") each time my effects look different or simply don't show at all. I then when to publish this module to see if it affects the output, and the same thing was happening.

The only preview mode that seems to be working (90% of the time) was preview in "HTML5 in browser"? Any ideas why the previews are all showing different things? The effects should all work in HTML5 and SWF.

Thanks!

I actually think I am having the same problem as this: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1949543?q=captivate%209%20motion

I did take out the transitions.... and there is no pause on my project!

Hello Hannah,

Can you please try using the Captivate 9 Hotfix?

Which effects did you use, can you give more detals? Is this a blank or a responsive project? Did you try the Live preview (Play slide, using the control panel on the Timeline or just the space bar to start)?

Best Preview is always 'in Browser' or 'HTML5 in Browser'.

Try to avoid applying transitions to the objects with effects.

Did you install the hotfix, the present version is 9.0.0.223?

Hi Lilybiri,

Thank you for responding to me. Firstly, yes I am using Captivate version 9.0.0.223.

Also, the project is blank, the previews that are not working are "Play slide", "Project" "From this slide", "Next five slides" and "In Browser"...

"HTML5 in browser" sometimes works. Strangely, the space bar start does also work.

When you say a transition and effect, does this mean an "entrance" and "exit" effect combined with a "basic" or "emphasis" effect?

Thanks!
