Hi all,
I hope someone may be able to help me, or point me in the right direction.
I've had a look through the forum though couldn't find an answer.
I am running the latest build of Captivate 9 (9.0.2.437), and have exported one of my projects as HTML5 only, ie: no FLASH (as I want to ultimately generate an iOS app from it via PhoneGap).
When I go to run the project using my default web browser (Chrome Version 54.0.2840.99 m) all I get is a grey loading screen (see below).
This is also true when I create an iOS app of the same project and go to run it on my iPad as a generated app using PhoneGap.
However.... when I go to run the same project file using IE or Edge it plays OK
I'm not getting any errors, though am guessing there must be some incompatibility or setting that is stopping my project successfully from within Chrome and a generated iOS PhoneGap app.
Just to confirm, I'm not running any widgets, or videos and this isn't a large file, ie: 15 slides (17MB unzipped).
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Simon

Hi Simon - did you ever get any answers to your question? We have recently started seeing a similar issue. We have Captivates that we exported to Flash and have been running on our Moodle LMS for over a year. Recently they started getting stuck on the loading screen.

Hi Simon
I had a project that was loading fine in Chrome. I then updated Captivate with the latest patch 9.0.2.437 to see if it solved some other issues I was having.
My project then wouldn't load in Chrome, but would load in Safari and Firefox.
I exported as SCORM and uploaded to an LMS. I tested in Chrome again and it works,
My project does have widgets.
It might be worth giving this a go.

I just ran into the same issue on my mac. I am running chrome Version 63.0.3239.132 (Official Build) (64-bit) and I am not able to load my index.html file. I get the same grey screen.

We found that if you disable and relaunch the hardware acceleration and relaunch chrome, the file loads. But if you try to reload it again, it breaks and doesn't work anymore.
Ironically, I placed that same published folder on my PC and opened the index.html file and it worked instantly. Trying to figure out why its happening, I went setting by setting on both my Mac and PC and set everything exactly the same, but it still does not run on my mac. So weird!
I personally do not feel it is a captivate setting, but a chrome setting. Hopefully someone has a solution for this and can write it here.

Hi there!
This could be the issue with the fact that Chrome, and other browsers, now do not support the Flash out-of-the-box.
You would have to tweak the settings (on MAC) as well to allow the Flash to run on these browsers.
Here is the parent article on how to install and 'Enable Flash Player' to run on various browsers:
Also, Adobe has already announced that Flash will be discontinued shortly.

Try disabling the playbar feature. That worked for me
