captivate 9 problem viewing quiz pages after returning to course after completion

Re: captivate 9 .0.2.437problem viewing quiz pages after returning to course after completion. This is a strange problem that I cannot work out alone. I upload course to scorm cloud and the same problem persists. Attached are my settings. Thanks for any help. Much appreciated.

There is a contradiction in your settings.

For Required you choose a very strict, limited option 'Must answer....' but the only button on the question slides that is checked (besides the compulsory Submit button) is Skip? This is bit confusing.

I have "skip" selected and am using/naming it as a Next button. Shall I uncheck it and make my own next button?

You don't need a Next button at all if you didn't 'tweak' then normal quiz setup. The Submit process has two steps:

  1. User clicks submit, playhead is not released but the feedback messages appear with the warning to press Y or click on the slide for the second step
  2. Playhead is released and the actions defined for Success or Last Attempt are done, except if there are still attempts on question level. The default actions  are Continue, which means that the playhead will continue. Bu dragging the pausing point closer to the end of the slide, the waiting time (while the playhead continues, default is 1,5secs) can be reduced.

Why need a Next button? If you allow Review dedicated Next buttons will appear. Skip is meant only to allow the user to skip a question without answering, which according to your Required setting is not allowed.

I've read your articles and posts regarding not deleting anything from the quiz pages. In case I have or if i possibly deleted something on the master slide, is it enough to click "reset master slide" and simply create a new knowledge check in hopes that this gremlin goes away?

If you did delete on the master slide, Reset master slide will not repair it.

Uncheck the Skip button. You could try to reset the Required option to 'Optional'. If you hide the playbar (in Quiz Preferences) there is no other way for the user to continue on a question slide, then to answer the question if the Skip button is not available.

So start with a new module.... but importing my work would bring back the bad quiz masters.  Basically i would have to start over. I cannot tell if parts were deleted. they look like another new module i opened.

But I did notice this. After i click Reset on all the KC slides and publish, then i am able to navigate to the KC after reopening the course on scorm cloud. SOLVED! BUT... when i go back to move adjust the question and answers on the page for creative visual purposes it brings back the problem after publish.

selecting text group and nudging left or right, up or down. Or adjusting size of text box so it does not cover a graphic.

copied a clean master MCQ, T/F, FIB, Sequence2 page from a fresh captivate file and pasted into master on my corrupted edit version. then I changed all of the Quiz pages to this new master slide. i changed nothing. i am publishing now to see where i am at. the skip button is NOT selected.
