Course is not asking from LMS the GETVALUE for suspend_data & location after re-open the course

It was working before, but I have no clue which settings I´ve changed for this behavior.

 

  • Quiz and sending to LMS is enabled (SCORM 2004 V4)
  • The course is asking for some Variables


But NOT suspend_data and location.

So the user is unable to re-open the course on the last visited slide.

I cannot enable self-defined learning in the TOC, because I do not want the ugly popup "...do you want to continue".

Does anyone has an idea? I am completely lost. Because it was working before. But not now.

    Thanks RodWard. I really appreciate it. In this case we are the LMS provider and I have checked with a developer. Thats why I have the log files what scorm course is sending as it is shown in the screen above.
    But nevertheless I will give it a try.
    I am just wondering why the course is not sending a GETVALUE request.

    I was able to solve the issue. 
    It was one simple button: 

    Without tick - it is working correct.

    You should never activate Self-paced learning when you are uploading to a LMS, which has a bettter bookmarking feature.

    First you have to check if the problem is due to Captivate or to the LMS.  That is easy: upload the course to SCORM Cloud which is the standard. If it works fine in SCORM Cloud, you have to look for a solution with the LMS people. If it is not working in SCORM Cloud neither, please post a screenshot of Quiz Preferences, Reporting.

    Hi,
    many thanks for your reply.

    Unfortunately the installed language is german, but you are certainly can identify the settings.

    The issue is, that a few versions before, it was working correct. Thats why I am wondering about a mystic setting or settings-combination that is preventing to start with GETVALUE suspend_data.

    Hopefully the screens will give an idea.

    The settings look OK to me. LMS bookmarking should still be working. It's possible the issue is with your LMS.

     

    Upload the same module to SCORM Cloud and test it there.  If it fails to resume at the last visited slide in SCORM Cloud as well, THEN we might assume there is something amiss with the course module.  But at this point I am thinking it is more likely that there has been an update on your LMS server that has broken resume data bookmarking.  So check on SCORM Cloud before we look any further into this.
