Course Not Recoring a Pass in LMS

My course does not have a quiz in it.  I just want the student to view the course in its entirety and then click an Update Button to record the course completion.  When I test it in my LMS it does not record a completion.

I included a screen shot of My Preferences.  On the last slide my "Update" Button on success is programmed to execute JavaScript self.close().

In the past, I had to either include a quiz or have the student just "x" out of course in the window- this confuses them.

I would prefer to use an "Update" button.

Any suggestions?  thanks for your help

    Requiring 100% slide views can be tricky (depending on the LMS). Since you talk about a button at the end that has to be clicked, why not attach a score to that button? Then you have a quiz and can require Quiz is Passed.
