CP7 buttons not working in MP4

I have a CP7 project with buttons which play the next video in the series, play from beginning etc. When published as a swf these work fine. When published as mp4 they do not work. Is there a fix for this or do buttons only work in swf?

MP4 is not an interactive file format.  It's VIDEO.

The buttons will only work in interactive formats such as SWF or HTML5.

Thanks Rod. I can't use SWF or MP4 (now) and we are still using WinXP. Can you suggest a better publish format that I could use?

If SWF and MP4 are out, the only viable one you have left is HTML5.  But if you're going that route I STRONGLY advise you update to Captivate 9. Cp7's HTML5 output was nowhere near as good as Captivate can do now.

However, a WinXp box is not going to run Captivate 9 well (if at all).  So it looks like you would be up for a new computer as well.
