Drag and Drop in Captivate 9

Hi,

I have a number of drag and drop interactions and in each case I allow 3 attempts (in each case users are required to sort the drag sources into two drop targets).  After the third attempt, if still incorrect, I want to display an incorrect caption (rather than a try again caption) but there is only a Failure Caption option with no opportunity to differentiate between 'try again' and 'incorrect'.

Additionally, when the user gets the answer right, it is taking up to 11 seconds to move to the next slide - this is with On Success: Continue.  I have tried to change this to On Success: Go to the next slide , which speeds up the response, but to the point that it is too fast to see the success caption.

Is there any solution to either of these issues?

For your second question: the pausing point is not visible on the Timeline (entered multiple feature requests for that, no one else seems to care). Timeline is paused at 1,5 secs, you can see that in the D&D panel, Actions tab. Change it so that the pausing point is closer to the end of the slide. More info about what I label as 'pausing point' in:

For your other question, why not use the Last Attempt action (it is wrongly labeled as Failure action) to show another custom message that is hidden in output, and that covers up the Failure message?

Thanks so much - this has resolved the issue with th Submit button and time taken to move to the next slide on Continue.

What about the other answer which I gave about the Feedback after last attempt?

Haven't tried the other one yet, but sounds as though this is what I need.  Presumably this will need an advanced action?

Not necessarily, just a simple "Show Message" action from the dropdown list will do. Keep the option 'Continue Playing ....' checked or the playhead will be blocked.
