Drag and Drop interaction - Delay after auto submission.

Captivate 8.0.1.242 - Windows 7 - 64 bit - SWF format - Non Responsive Format

I have drag and drop interactions in my course. I have enabled auto submit option for the correct drag and drop answer. But when I publish the course and run the course online, there a delay after dragging and dropping the correct answer. There is no loading sign or anything. Just a delay and then I see the next slide. Its weird for the students as they start clicking random areas thinking they have made a mistake.

I would like to know as to why there is this delay and how to remove it.

Hi there

I think the problem is with the Actions that are presently assigned to the interaction. If you look closely, you will likely find that the slide is pausing at 1.5 seconds. And the action assigned to the Correct answer is likely "Continue". This means that play resumes and it takes another 1.5 seconds to visit the next slide.

Try changing the action to "Go to the next slide" and the delay should be eliminated.

Cheers... Rick

Rick,

i did try it out. It is not the case as when i preview the course in captivate, there is no delay. this is happening only after i publish the project. Also, in some place I have increased the pause to 7 seconds and others at left at 1.5 seconds. but the delay isn't consistent with this.
