Drag and Drop the drag source behind the drag target

I'm working on a drag and drop interaction where I would like the drag source to fall behind the target image.  Essentially, I want it to look like you are putting something into a basket. I've set it up so that the drag source is "behind" the target by arranging the images on the slide, but when I preview the interaction, the drag source still ends up on top of the target image.  Is there a way to correct this?

Select the target object, "the basket" and in the Drag and Drop tab,  "The drop target",  select Format > Depth >Back.

Other possibilities are to have the drag source shrinking by setting Size

to 0 or fading out by setting alpha to 0, both in the same snapping section

of each drop target.
