Exit Course feature closing out entire tab / Not capturing completion

Hi!I'm creating training simulations and I'm having trouble getting the course to finish and show completed. I thought adding the feature of 'Exit Course' may help with that but I'm finding it just completely closes the tab instead of closing the pop up like I was hoping for. Does anyone have any input on how I can have it capture completion for just clicking through all the simulation slides? Currently once you exit, it shows incomplete and when you enter the course again it starts on the last slide. I'm in the process of teaching myself how to use this, this is my first time creating something like this so bare with me!

Some LMSs register completion more reliably when you set it to be measured by achieveing a passing score, rather than number of slides viewed.

If all your users will be doing is just clicking through the slides, just put a button on the final slide that is set to report a score of 1 point to the quiz and set its action to Exit so that clicking the button not only exits the course but also gives the user a passing score. If that button is the only scored object in the entire project then clicking it will give the user the passing score the LMS requires.
