Grey screen appearing the middle of a Captivate 5.5 project

We have several users that are reporting that they just see this grey screen in the middle of a project.

This is an assessment so we have turned off the navigation. One user is saying that this happens in the same place each time. While another is saying that they are seeing the screen at different points in the project.

This project is posted on our LMS and is published to SCORM 1.2. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can you confirm if the problem has been coming to users re-attempting/relaunching the course again?

Can you check if the scenario is similar to what is explained in the article, if yes try the steps recommended to replace the DLL--

If not, then please share some more details if there any pattern in users/workflow that causes it.

Thanks,

Hi Anjaneai,

In our scenario, users are not seeing the grey screen on the loading slide but rather in the middle of the lesson.

They are either retaking the course because they failed or because they were unable to progress due to the grey screen.

Please let me know if you would like to see the project file.

Thanks,

Valerie

Hi Valerie,

Can you email me one such project at tcssup@adobe.com?

Also, try the copying all the sldies on a new blank project  and test that one.

I would advise that try uploading your course on cloud.scorm.com it is a free LMS, just compare the results, to isolate teh main cause for this.

Thanks,

Anjaneai
