Question

Hello all. What are some ways I can speed up the load time for my Captivate file?

I have a course taking a really long time to load.  It's also having issues with giving credit to learners.  Out of every 50 learners maybe 1 will not receive credit for passing on their completed works.

You can also change the Preloader percentage to make it so that the user can start viewing the course faster.  Just go to Preferences and click on Start and End.  The preloader is automatically set to 100%, but I usually change it to 10-25%.

The problem with some learners NOT getting credit for their course will not be fixed with reducing filesize or preloaders.  That sounds more like the SCORM API with the LMS may be timing out or breaking at some point.

Try to reduce file size: is the resolution not too high? Did you use images that had the correct size instead of decreasing the size of big images within Captivate? Do you use Audio? If yes, do you need Stereo, what are the settings, can you do with a lower quality. Same questions for video.

As for 'credit', what do you mean: what is the setup for Quiz? Avoid having the score slide as the last slide. Which SCORM template did you use?

    Thanks for replying to me.

I used mp3 audio files. I have the slides set to High, but I am about to change to medium.

I’m publishing to success factors LMS. I hid the score slide and the last slides are pass or fail.

I was talking about the resolution (in px), not about the slide quality. Optimized is the default setting, there is no medium, but 'Low' which will be probably not offer the wanted quality.

What were the settings for the MP3?

How do I changed setting for MP3 within Captivate?

    Thanks,
