Question

How do I copy slides from one project to another, without the content being changed or moved?

I tried to copy slides from a software simulation to another project. When inserting the slides, some of the content is moved and in incorrect places.
Anybody who has tried something like that?
I have tried to change the screen size for both of the project, but it doesn't make any differences.

Both projects need to have the same resolution. Can you check that? You can find it under Project info.

I hope you are talking about normal (blank) projects for both target and source file?

Can you tell which version you are using, please (exact number).

The to projects is not the in the same resolution, but i tried to change the screen size, so they where the same, but there are still some misplacements of the content in the copied slides.
    I am using captivate 9.

The target project has the resolution 1680 x 1050, while the copied slide is 1928 x 1048.
I have already tried your suggestion, but it isn't working yet.
    My version is 9.02.1.

The width/height ratio of the two projects is also different, which makes everything a lot more complicated of course, especially with a software simulation where each  background slide is static. Not a very well prepared project I would say, but that is off topic.

The target project has 16/10 ratio, but the software simulation has a very weird widht/height ratio. Who did decide to capture at such a resolution, don't understand. Downscale the software simulation project without modifying the aspect ration to a width of 1680, the height will then be about 892 px. Activate Rescale all object, but you'llhave to check each slide. Normally in a software simulation you'll not have a lot of objects (depends on mode of the simulation, which you didn't tell). Resulting height is smaller than the height of the target project. If you copy/paste to the target project, the software sim slides will fit horizontally but they'll be put at the top of the slides. I would cover the bottom part (height = 1050-892 = 158px) with a shape. Another approach with a knockout master slide has been explained here:

Create and Use a "Knockout" Master Slide - Captivate blog

Please, next time, try to prepare a project: choice of the correct resolution is one of the most important decisions. Even though you only used one downscale, you'll always lose quality.
