How to Center Playbar (vs. Left-Aligned) - Captivate 2023

I am trying to center my playbar in between the back and forward buttons I've created. I don't see how I can adjust the alignment of the playbar. With it left-justified, it blocks my back button. Any ideas?

Do a preview - then you can move it around.

Once published - the learner should be able to put it where they want as well.

If you have your own built-in navigation - do you need the playbar?

I believe you can simply drag the playbar where you like (four corners or bottom center)

The learner can - in the published project...

I wanted to keep the playbar so that closed captions could be turned on and off. Maybe I can explore doing this with buttons? (I'm a total newbie to Captivate so unaware of full functionality.)

I don't see where I can drag to a different location. The only place I even see the playbar is by clicking on "TOC and Playbar" > "Playbar." While the playbar is visible, it's location is static. Funnily enough, it shows the playbar as centered, but when you launch the course, it's left-justified.

I see what you mean. I was able to move it around during preview. Do you know if it defaults to one spot? And if so, where that spot is?

No, for me it defaults to centered.

Even in previous versions customisation of the playbar in a responsive project was limited, but at least there was some control. It was found under tthe Project menu, Skin editor and also part of the Theme. But lot has been lost in the Themes.

It has always been centered for me - I have not yet seen/discovered a way to change that by default.

It defaults to the center for me on my mac. But when I shared it with my boss who is viewing on a Windows machine, it's left-aligned. I don't know if he moved it without realizing or what.... I hope it defaults to center as that's my preference.

@Lilybiri - I am aware.

I am simply saying I am unaware of a way to set the default location.

Right now... the idea that it was moved accidentally seems the odds on favorite.

If  they were to close out of the project and re-open it - or even just refresh the browser - It should go back. That could help confirm or deny the thought.

It defaults to left-aligned even after a refresh, resetting their progress in the LMS and having them-restart, and deleting the SCORM package and re-uploading the LMS. These same folks also get the last 1/2 a second of their audio cut off. I'm so confused.... I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that I'm building it on a mac, and they are using a Windows machine. That's the only variable I can come up with. No clue!

To solve the problem of the last half secon of audio being cut off, extend your slide by a second or so. This is a strange bug that is a carryover from Captivate Classic.

On my machine it defaults to the left. I would prefer it to be in the center.

On preview it is center but not on publish.

Same here on Windows, preview is centered but in Edge browser it's left-aligned. We only have one browser authorized here at work.

Hi Jonathan, it is the same for all the browsers. There are a lot of expectations for the upcoming release.
