Hello, how would I move an object, lets say a button for example, to any space I want on a slide in the new adobe captivate. I want to be able to drag the button anywhere I want on the slide but it's limiting me to only specific places like the top or bottom. Im getting frustrated with the limitations in this tool, please help!

The new Captivate 12 does not work like the older versions.  Objects are not movable.  They are locked into their content blocks, as you have found.

If you want to move objects around at will, you would need to use Captivate 2019, not Captivate 12.

Rod is correct. The button will always be in the blocks. You can move them to the left/right/center or equally spaced within the block which can be found under the components section.
