images inside of shapes

I've inserted an Oval Shape and filled it with an image. By choosing Tile I can somewhat control the placement of the image within the shape. However, the image is larger than I want it to be and part of it is hidden by the shape -- and I get tiling, which I don't want. If I enlarge the Shape I can see more of the image. But what I need to do is shrink the image, not enlarge the shape. Basically, I want to use the shape to crop the image and the ability to adjust the position of the image within the shape.

Is that possible to do in Captivate or do I have to use Photoshop?

Is it possible to position the image within the shape without tiling?

(I sure wish that Captivate was more graphic design friendly!)

No, Jay, not possible. In that case I use Photoshop.

You know I agree about design friendliness, Jason. Best quality is always

when you don't resize image. However did you try Fit to... option in Edit

image? Not sure of exact terms, on the road. It used to change the

width/height ratio but that was fixed in last release.

    Lilybiri,

The way I've set up the file, the Fit to option doesn't look good. That's because of the round shape of the oval which leaves awkward empty spaces between the image and the edges of the oval. I'm after an image that has an oval crop, but that's probably not achievable in Captivate.
