LMS opens up a pop-up window that doesn't track the completion.

My module is using an LMS that opens in a new tab in the same window. Instead of playing the course in that tab, it gives me a message saying 'Your course has been launched in a new window. Please do not close this window' and a button that says 'Launch Course'. It then opens the module in a brand-new window. This causes the “original” tab with no activity in it, thus not able to track the users progress when they exit the module.

 

How do I keep the course in the same window where I have my LMS page to track my completion status?

Captivate does not control how the LMS chooses to open the module.  You need to investigate the settings available in your LMS with regard to launching SCORM modules.  If necessary, you may need to reach out to your LMS vendor.  Every LMS I have ever worked with always had options in this area.

    Thanks Rodward! that is great to know. I am new to Captivate and I'm not too familiar with the publishing settings. At least I know that the pop-up blocking message is not caused by The SCORM file itself.
