Hi all,
I'm writing you because I need an information about Captivate and its interaction with the MOODLE platform.
I use Captivate v9 and I export my Scorm as SWF and HTML5.
The project is structured with 4 Scorms (an introduction and 3 Chapters, 2 of them enclosed with a final quiz) exported with the same options (Scorm 1.2; LMS: Moodle; Status Incomplete/Complete; Criteria: User Access; Interaction Data Flagged; Project End Options: Stop Project) and assembled with the native MultiScorm Captivate Software.
Publishing it on the platform i find a lot of problems with the completion mark: it scores complete when I start to watch the chapter related with the quiz; when I switch to the next chapter the tick becomes a red cross changing the report to incomplete but scoring the quiz result in the right way.
I know that i could use a Test and a Pre-test in the same project to solve the problem, but I’m not sure about the number of quiz i need, so i want to be prepared.
How could i track user in the right way? Did i make some mistakes in the export options?
Thank you for your help!
Dario

Deselect the option for User Access. If you use that option, you're basically saying that you WANT the course marked complete as soon as the user starts viewing the content.
If you want the leaner to only be marked complete when they pass the quiz, then you need to indicate that by the way you set the Quiz > Reporting options.

Thank You RodWard for your fast answer.
To mark the chapter complete when the user start to view it, is what i want. In fact when i start to view the chapter everything goes well. The problem begin when i switch to another chapter in the Multiscorm. The last one changes its state to incomplete (red cross) and the current takes the green tick; when I return to the last one it changes its state again. It seems like the User access is not stored .
This happens only with chapters related with quiz.
Thank you in advance.

OK. Can you please show me a screenshot of the Quiz Reporting dialog so that I can see exactly how you have it set up?

Hi Rod, this is the screen of the published scorm and the report.
"Punteggio" means "score".
Thank you

Sorry. You misunderstood. I want to see a screenshot of the Quiz > Reporting dialog INSIDE Captivate. Not the contents of your SCORM log file.

Hi Rod, here's a screen of all the settings i used inside captivate for the export of project and quiz.
Thank you.

If your project has a quiz, don't set it to mark complete just on User Access.
Set Status Representation to Incomplete - Pass/Failed
Set Success Criteria to Quiz is Passed. If a given module has no quiz and all you need is for them to access it, set it to Slide Views and specify a very small number of slides (e.g. 2 or 3) so that they will achieve completion almost immediately.
Try those settings.
