Hi,

I am trying to create a navigation toolbar with icons and labels using fluid boxes. I want each icon and/or label to be a button.  I am trying to have about 8 icons. I would like for their to be a toolbar on the left side of the page.

Thank you

If you want this bar on each slide, you could set up fluid boxes on the main master slide. Have two horizontal fluid boxes as child FB's for the head Fluid box which will cover the whole slide. Edit the width of the left FB.  Since it is a master slide you will only be able to have shape buttons as interactive objects but they can both be filled with an image and also function as text container. For the left FB choose Vertical Flow. Since you'll not want to have objects re-arranging, choose the Wrap option 'Squeeze in column' for the left fluid box, probably best with 'Shape around' and some "Padding" so that the shape buttons will not touch the border of the FB nor each other. It is up to you if you want the buttons to be rescaled while keeping the width/height ratio fixed or not. Personally I would also turn on 'Enable Uniform text scaling' for each slide.

Thank you so much! This is so helpful. I figured out some of the things you speak about just by a lot of trial and error. I am going to try what you suggest today. I'll let you know.
