Object Transitions: Fade-In and -Out Only?

I'm new to Captivate. Sort-of. After about a 5-year hiatus, during which I was using Lectora exclusively, I am now back to using Captivate. My question...

When I want an image to transition in after a slight delay on the slide entrance or after performing an action, are the only options I have Fade-In, Fade-Out, or both Fade-In and Out? Am I missing something?

Thanks!

I think a better question might be to ask exactly what you were hoping to find? What do you want to happen?

As Lilybiri said, there are many effects to assign. But without knowing what your goal is, it's hard to say...

It's actually pretty simple. I'm just looking for variety in making images appear. Right now it seems like you can only have them fade-in.

I'm probably too stuck on the PowerPoint concept of animating images, etc. Or am I making this too difficult.

Did you look at the Effects? You can find them also in the Timing Properties.

Effects? I guess I need to check those out. Where are those available? I can't find them in the properties tab.

Right-click on any object and choose Apply Effect. All effects appear in the Timing panel (where you have also the 'old' transitions). There are different categories of effects: Basic, Emphasis, Entrance, Exit and Motion paths. Many choices for you, much more customizable than transitions.
