Previous slide showing when fading

Hi there.

I'm having an issue with Captivate 7. Whenever any slide with a YouTube widget fades into the next slide, it shows a previous slide before fading. Here's an example to illustrate what I mean:

Slide 1 is fading into slide 2. Slide 2 has a YouTube widget. When it fades into slide 3, it shows slide 1 again before fading.

This only happens with slides that have the YouTube widget. Any ideas of how to fix this?

I did find a similar question that was posted a few years ago, but the answers didn't resolve the issue.

Thanks.

Does it only do this with the Fade transition?  Have you tried the Wipe transition?

Hi Rod.

Yeah it also does it with the wipe transition.

Then report it to Adobe as a bug if you want.  But I can pretty much guarantee they're NOT going to do anything now about version 7.

I suggest you download version 9 trial version and see if the same issue exists there. If not, then you know what you have to do.

(Updating your version of Captivate would be a good idea anyway.)

Hi Rod.

I use Captivate for work. Getting them to sign off any kind of software is an absolute nightmare, so I'm stuck with version 7 sadly.

I completely understand.  But in my experience, when managers cannot get what they want or look good to their peers because some software is too old, the corporate purse strings miraculously loosen.
