Publish Computer Option no longer appears

I used to be able to go to the publish drop down with a responsive project, and I would see the option publish to computer.  Now my only options are

  • Publish for Devices
  • Publish for Devices (App)
  • Publish to Adobe Connect
  • Publish to Adobe Captivate Prime

 

It's an incredibly simple microlearning project. Nothing fancy. I used the html tracker and no issues there.  I am not trying to publish to  an lms, I just want a link to put on a webpage. I'm at a loss. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If you saw Publish to Computer as an option you were working on a normal NON responsive project.  Perhaps since you were publishing to HTML5 for mobile delivery you may have thought it was responsive.  It could have been rescaling, but not responsive.

For responsive projects, if you just want to publish to a location on your computer hard drive, choose Publish for Devices and select a folder location for the output.  It results in pretty much the same thing.

That is not correct. You have the option of publishing an interactive file to the computer as a non-responive MP4.

For a responsive project with fluid boxes, the option to publish to a MP4 is not available.
