Hello there.

I have found several references on publishing to Microsoft Word https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/using/microsoft-word.html  but few resources on creating a custom Microsoft Word Template such as a insert tag list.

My goal is the following.

  • The first page to be just like the default storyboard template with a Project Summary
    • Slide Count
    • Slide Time Count
    • Total Project Duration
    • Start and End Options Used
    • Preferences used
    • Background Audio
    • Score Setting
    • Number of Hidden Slides
  • Then for the rest of the pages have the default Handout layout
    • Small thumbnail of the slide
    • Notes area next to thumbnail
    • Slide Name
    • Slide Notes

Any tips, suggestions, links or information welcome.

Thank you

Captivate Version : Adobe Captivate 2017

Microsoft Word Version : 2010

OS : Windows 7 Pro

When I last needed to do this, publish to Word, I remember having a similar concern...and could not figure out a way to improve the overall templates.

So I published to all three types, then manually copy/pasted various items out of the Word docs to create the one I wanted.

Definitely more time intensive, but the only way I could get it done, and the result was a much nicer document.

This was years ago....

I really hope I don't have to do that for 40+ captivate files.

Thanks for replying though.

At least I know I am not missing something and there are others with the same problem.

I have found a link that I bet would be ultra helpful if it was not a dead link. http://www.adobe.com/devnet/captivate/articles/wordoutput/adobecaptivate_wordoutput_documentation.pdf
