Quiz Slide-Success Caption Default

New Here ,
Nov 19, 2015 Nov 19, 2015

Hello Everyone.

I have inserted a multiple choice Quiz Slide in my deck of slides.  I entered text on the default success caption, but when previewing it, it does not show and I only see the default text that was there initially. How do I get it to show the text I have just entered?

Thanks a lot!

Changing default text has only effect on new question slides, not on

existing question slides.

If you are sure that you entered this text onto one of the feedback captions on the quiz slide itself (and not just in the Quiz Settings) make sure that you entered the text into the right caption.  I note that in Captivate nowadays the feedback captions are all piled on top of one another at the bottom of the screen, which can make it hard to see which caption you are actually editing.

Thank you RodWard for your reply.  How do I know for sure that I am placing the response I want to appear on the success caption in the right location?  I am placing it on a green caption text box, but when I preview the slide, that is not the one that appears. Could you be more specific regarding the steps necessary in order to set it in Captivate 8?

When you have the caption selected, look at the top of the Properties tab.  It will tell you if this is the Success (Correct) caption, or the one for Incorrect, or the one for Incomplete (unanswered).
