Random branching scenario on captivate for dummies
Hi community!
I am working on a project to prepare exchange students for their year abroad. Learners will go through a course where they are assigned a host family and need to take decisions that lead to different situations according to the family they are in (and to the decisions they take). I do not know how to make sure learners get the family at random. What I need is this:
- Learner is randomly assigned a host family
- Learner sees different slides if they are assigned family 1, 2 or 3.
- For example. Learner A is assigned family 1. They go through the course visiting slides 5 6 7. At the end, based on the decisions they have taken, they see final slide 23. Learner B instead is assigned family 3. They go through the course visiting slides 12 13 14 15. Finally, based on the decisions they have taken, they see final slide 24.
I would be so grateful to get some help, this is my FIRST project with Captivate. I have searched on this website, on youtube, on every blog I could think of. What I find is either not exactly what I need, or too complicated for me to understand. I have NEVER used Java Script and I have no clue on where to find things on Captivate.I am not an elearning specialist, just a volunteer wanting to create a cool elearning experience. Is there a step by step guide on how to do such things somewhere? Can you help with that?
Thank you in advance!
