I am doing some screencasts of Adobe Captivate 6.0 (Mac) and I am limiting the screen size to 1280x720. When I preview the project, it comes up much bigger and a lot of it is beyond the recording area. If I resize it, it doesn't stay that way the next time I run it.
Does anyone know how I can set the size of the Preview window?
Thnak you.
Dave
Hi there
Too bad you aren't using a PC. If you were, there is a cool little freeware app called "Sizer" that would allow you to define the size you want and easily size the window.
I just did a brief Google looking for a Mac alternative and found something called "Mercury Mover". Perhaps that will help?

Hi Dave,
What preview mode are you using (F4, F12, F8)?
Does that give you a scroller when you preview it, to view the complete screen ?
Thanks,

I am using F8 to preview the slide. Since the monitor is set to 1920x1080, I am resizing Captivate on that screen to 1280x720 so there is additional room on the screen which is what the preview window "overflows" to. If I manually resize it, I get the scrollbars but again, it doesn't "remember" what I resized it to...it goes back to the original size when I hit F8 again.
I have attached a screenshot. As you can see, the preview is much larger than the application window in Captivate.

Thanks.

Thanks Rick...you reminded me of a similar demo I downloaded called "Moom". It doesn't work on resizing Adobe apps which is why I didn't pursue it but it does work on the Preview window. I just set up a keyboard shortcut and it resizes and moves it.
Thanks for the suggestion.
