Restoring a Captivate File from an LMS Zipped File

New Here ,

Is it possible to take a Captivate file that was imported into an LMS as a zipped file and restore it to a fully-working Captivate file outside of the LMS? The original Captivate file has disappeared and I don't want to recreate everything if that can be avoided. Many thanks.

Hi there

Unfortunately you won't be able to decompile any sort of Captivate output to make it an editable source file again.

I think the best you can hope for is to play the file and capture the assets such as screens and images and note the verbiage on any text elements so you can re-create them in a new project.

Best of luck to you... Rick

I thought that was the case, but I was hoping someone more experienced and smarter than me would know a secret. Thanks for your response, Rick.
