RTMP links - What am I doing wrong?

Hi Captivators,

I've been trying to get RTMP links working in Captivate 5.5 with no luck.

I've followed the suggestions in the workaround below:

http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/2011/03/workaround-for-video-streaming-issues-in-captivate.html

But I just can't seem to get our RTMP's to work - we don't get any errors or warnings in Captivate, but the FLV clips from streaming server don't even launch when playing published SWF project.

I might be misinterpreting something....

Here's some links to an FLV clip (at different bit rates) hosted with our local (NZ) streaming content provider:

rtmp://flash1.e-cast.co.nz/ecast/revisia/AUS_HDR_adam_comp_Shot6_04_128k.flv
rtmp://flash1.e-cast.co.nz/ecast/revisia/AUS_HDR_adam_comp_Shot6_04_256k.flv
rtmp://flash1.e-cast.co.nz/ecast/revisia/AUS_HDR_adam_comp_Shot6_04_384k.flv
rtmp://flash1.e-cast.co.nz/ecast/revisia/AUS_HDR_adam_comp_Shot6_04_768k.flv

Is there anyone who could test one of these links to see if you can get RTMP to work?

Would love to know how you did it!

kind regards

Mark Foster

In Captivate 5 you always needed to take off the .flv extension when referring to a RTMP link.  Not sure if this is the same in 5.5.

I am having the same issue with Captivate 5.5 and Cloudfront with RTMP streams not working (but working with JWPlayer).  SO FRUSTRATING!
