Screen reader only reading portion of text - accessibility issue

I am using NVDA to test the accessibility of a training module created using Captivate 2019. On one (only one) of the multiple-choice quiz answers, the screen reader reads about half of the answer, then stops (and says "radio button not checked 1 of 4"). The screen reader successfully reads many other longer answers. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

    Hi

Can you remember how you built that slide, was the text copy-pasted or deited differently from any other slide?

Did you try to recreate the slide?

Thanks, Eric. After recreating the slide with no success, I noticed that the screen reader stopped reading the answer where there was an apostrophe. Sure enough, when I removed the apostrophe, it read the entire answer. I have NO IDEA why Captivate or NVDA was interpreting an apostrophe as the end of the sentence, but this glitch just cost me a couple of hours and probably some hair. Any insights anyone? I'll be avoiding apostophes from now on..
