Updating the highlight box 'style'

I am exploring the Software Simulation functionality of the All-New Captivate and I cannot see where the colour for the highlight boxes is set. Obviously I can go into the individual highlight boxes and change them one at a time on the visual properties panel but I cannot find anywhere in the theme panel or preferences where the colour is defined. The colour used does not seem to be one of the default theme colours in the colour configuration panel.

Is there a way to make a 'global' colour change to the highlight box object?

Many thanks for any suggestions

M

One recommendation: switch to Captivate Classic for software simulations.  There it is very easy to change the highlight box style which is used as default object style.

The problem with the new version is that it can create only responsive projects. Typical for that type of projects is that you cannot stack objects in the same location and highlight boxes are stacked on top of the slide.  In previous versions Themes had object styles,  but version 12 has only text styles which is a big difference.  Sorry for this rather sad news, but version 12 has still a lot of features to add and to be streamlined.  Software simulation projects do not have a lot in common with the normal projects in Captivate and tried to emulate how they worked since the birth of Captivate.

Here are some other reasons why I don't like the software simulations in version 12:

    • Demo mode is something I didn't use anymore since Video Demo was included with Captivate (version 6) because the quality of the output of a Video Demo is superior to what you get when you publish a Demo Software sim to MP4, and the editor is so much more powerful. But version 12 has no Video Demo anymore.
    • Training and Asessment  mode in 12 are useles IMO because due to the obsession with responsive projects, they will automatically pan and zoom but you don't want to have that in an Assessment or Training because it will already give the learner the indication where to click...
