Zoom box content not displaying - Am I missing something, or is it a bug?

I've got some zoom areas for this module that I'm building. The zoom areas don't want to show any objects that come into the zoom area after the zoom box starts. If it starts at the same time, my arrows, highlight boxes, etc, will fade in and be visible in the zoom box:

If I have it zoomed and then want to add the highlight box or smart shape, the objects will NOT appear in the zoom box once I preview in browser or publish:

Is this yet another bug, or some clunky intended functionality that I'm not aware of?

Can you give some more details, because 'zoom' can mean different things.

Is this a "zoom" area, as you can find under the Objects button? Is this a responsive project, where the mobile view can have zoomed parts? Is this a video demo project where you created a zoom? Is it possible to post a screenshot of the timeline?

I'm on Cp 9.0.1.320.

This is a "zoom" area, as found under the Objects button. It is NOT a responsive project, just a software simulation.

There's a screenshot of my time line. Zoom source is in green. No matter where I put it on the timeline (above or below the objects that fade in), the objects will not appear in my zoomed area.

The Zoom box itself is static, objects that will come in later, will not show up in the already zoomed in area. It is not a dynamic object. I suspect it is this what you are asking about, but only now realized it could be the case. Sorry, if I didn't understand immediately. You should need to capture a video to show a dynamic zoomed box.

So then why do objects fade in, etc, at the beginning? The typing animation and mouse movement show up in the already zoomed area. This is why I am confused.
