Body turning with head turns, feet won't stay pinned

Hi, built a puppet and when I added a right and left profile, all of a sudden the puppet that once had pinned feet, no longer does. Can't figure out what's wrong in the rigging. When I do a head turn, the body rotates in a circular motion (like a clock) depsite the fact that the feet are pinned. This site wouldn't let me upload the puppet file so I uploaded the photoshop file.

First of all, check your rigging to see if anything changed. Here's what I would do. If the fixed points are still there, remove them and replace them with a single stick that covers both feet. Add a fixed tag to that stick and your figure should stay put.

Thanks for taking a look. The rigging didn't change from the original puppet that worked fine. All I did was add two more head groups, the left and right profile. And adding the "fixed" stick didn't resolve it either. Sorry.

The only thing I'm seeing is when I'm in the rigging mode and select the "head" group (which is not independent) the body also shows up as an outline which leads me to believe that perhaps there is an errant tag connecting the head to the body. When I select the "body" group, the head is not conversly outlined.

However, I can't seem to figure (or know how) to get to the layer that would show me if there was some random attachment like that. 😕😕

Since the head is not independent, the body (and all other dependent meshes) are shown as part of it. When a mesh is marked as independent, it is detatched from other meshes. The reason that the head is depenent on the body (and vice-versa) is so the head stays attached to the neck and the head and neck stretch. Mark the parts as independent to see for yourself. 🙂
