I cant pin the legs to my character's body- is it because it doesn't have a head?

My character is an inanimate object (it's a bottle), so he does not have a head, his face is on his body. Is this possibly why I can't pin the limbs to the body? If not, what am I doing wrong? How do I set the layers up properly for a situation like this?

    Daniel Thank you so much for making this video! It is really helpful. Im still having an issue. Only the top half of my characters body seems to be bending when i move my head in the camera. is it possible to get it to hinge at the legs so the body swivels right to left instead of only the top half of the body?

    Your "Head" layer is independent, which means it will move with the Face behavior alone. If you want the arms and legs to be parented to the bottle, uncrown the head, uncrown the legs, pin the feet using fixed pins, crown the arms, and move the origin handle(green circle) to where the arms overlap the body.

    If that doesn't help, I can make a video. We should probably have a template character with this structure since it's a pretty standard structure. Red Monster is similar, but doesn't have arms.

      Thanks daniel. That has solidified my feet to the ground, but now the body of my character warps when i move the head around. I want the body to be able to move without  the legs lifting. I feel really stupid asking all this.
