How drop a Signature in?

If I have a PDF someone sent me, can I insert a signature I have on a jpeg?
I'm not sure usually where the pdf's originate from, ie scans, etc.

Was able to get a digital signature filed going and make my own digital signature. Couple of questions:
1) How do I edit my digital signature?
2) Do people often want to just insert a real signature (scibble style) into a pdf and is that possible?
3) Date: How can I enter a blank field in which someone receiving a PDF can type in the date and send that back. thanks!
