Lag time in live web broadcast

When I broadcast to one participant my lag time is minimal. (I wear solid colors and have a solid color background just so my camera is not working harder procssing. BUT last weekend I held a group presentation where 9 people attended, (not broadcasting their cameras to me, just watching), and my lag time was intolerable. I did allow them to be come Presenters.

My broadband service said it was not my broadcast but something on the web, (Acrobat). Does anyone have any ideas on how I should trouble shoot this?

Thanks very, very much!

Scot

The users roll within the room has nothing to do with how much bandwidth they are allowed. The question that Troy asked was, is your connect server hosted at Adobe or do you have one locally? The reason for the question is asked is to see if your server is the problem or if it is a local connectivity problem.

In the end, you can check your connectivity to the server (wherever it lives) but clicking on the green bar in the upper right hand corner of the meeting room. There you will see your push up and down in kbps and you will be able to see the latency of your connection. Any latency of more than 1 second will show a significant delay in your video/audio (though both should be in sync with each other.

Are you using Adobe's hosted solution or are you using your own server as a host?

I'm using Acrobat Connect, (and my students log on there as well). I log onto the internet via Comcast. Do you think it could have been because I made everyone a 'Presenter" and thus allowed them more broadband width?

    Thanks very much,
