While running through a Powerpoint Presentation, some slides didn't show all elements? is this an issue with how the PPT is built prior to upload? are there specific products that can be installed that would allow for the appearance of all elements in any type of PPT presentation?
I installed the latest add-in and it didn't help. suggestions?

When you up load your PPT file to Connect it converts it into a Flash version of the presentation, so it can be displayed in the room. While it will keep many elements of PPT, some items just don't translate from PPT to Flash. Some of the more common things that I see that don't translate are: slide transistions, some empahsis animations and images that are not JPG or GIF.
The easiest soltuion, if you don't want to change things in your PPT, is to just share your screen and show the PPT in slide show mode (F5).

Hi there, they had put some graphics together - nothing complex - using (I think it was smartart in PPT - basically shape drawings to look almost like a brainstorming session) and when it had converted into adobe, nothing appeared on that slide other than the title.. we were trying to figure out why..

Yeah, smart art is hit or miss. It has a greater likelyhood of working if you are on the latest version of Connect (which hosted is, if Adobe is hosting your account), but sometimes, you just need to screen share. Also, you can try saving as a PPT instead of a PPTX, but that may drop the smart art in PPT, which doesn't solve the problem.

Yes, vector graphics are not converted to Flash. If you have to use that graphic format, then use screen sharing instead.

An alternative to screen sharing for a problem PPT is to convert the PPT file to PDF (which Adobe presents nicely, except it won't fill a pod) or "Save As" to TIF files and import back into PPT. This will give you the best quality for the bandwidth used. Unfortunately, my users seldom leave me time for such actions, so screen sharing is typical.
