What happens to images that are linked to images in creative cloud folder after the discontinuation?

Will the links no longer work or be asked to be replaced? I ask as I have 1000s of hours of work with files linked in folders that are in my cloud folder. Will the folder name change after the discontinuation mean that all of those links will be broken and will have to be manually re-linked?

What happens to my existing files?
You can continue to access your Creative Cloud files on your computer and the Creative Cloud website, subject to a 2-GB cloud storage limit. If you’re over the 2-GB cloud storage limit when you cancel, you have 30 days to move files out of cloud storage.

@kglad I don't think you understood my question. Locally my files are saved in the creative cloud files folder. On Feb. 1st when the creative cloud files is discontinued Adobe stated the folder name would change to something else. Doesn't this mean that all of my files that were linked to assets inside the creative cloud files folder will now have to be re-linked manually for each one as the directory has changed?

Where do you read that the folder name will change?

"The Creative Cloud Files folder will no longer be hidden when you sign out of Creative Cloud. The folder will be renamed to Creative Cloud Files + <account type> + <profile_name> + <email> + <GUID> (for example: Creative Cloud Files Personal Account email@abc.com ####@AdobeID). You can rename the folder as you see fit. "

I may just be able to rename it back to what it was to avoid the headache but wasn't sure how the creative cloud files directory was originally set up. I don't use the default directly currently. Hopefully it allows me to rename it back to creative cloud files and keeps all linked assets intact without having to spend hours relinking everything.

Oh, I see. That will protect your data, in case you have multiple subscriptions. You can simply rename it back.

I hope you are wrong, because if not I could see this becoming a massive issue for a lot of people that used linked assets saved in the creative cloud sync folder. We'll just have to wait and see if renaming the file back to what it was fixes any linked assets in those folders.

The creative cloud file sync discontinution makes it difficult for me to trust using Adobe's services after this. I definitely will not be using cloud documents going forward as if it's not on my system I know now they can just deny you access any time they want. We really need some new laws in place to protect creative works created on licensed products to avoid companies from doing things like this.

agree, it's prudent to maintain a local copy of all your important files so they're under your control.
