I cannot download to my Kobo. Books are in ADE but won't transfer to the device. Activation is done.

I have purchased books from the Kobo Bookstore and they appear in ADE but I can't transfer them to the device. ADE stops working when I try to transfer. I have checked the activation with the support centre and they say all is in order. I recently installed Windows 10 and have downloaded the most recent version of ADE.

  1. Close all applications.
  2. Choose Start > Run.
  3. In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.
  4. In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept
  5. Select the Adept key.
  6. Choose File > Export.
  7. In the Export Registry File dialog box, select Selected Branch under Export Range. Enter a name and location for the backup registry key, and then click Save.
  8. Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.
  9. In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.
  10. Close the Registry Editor.
  11. Open Adobe Digital Editions and reauthorize.

Regrettably this did not work. I deleted the most recently downloaded books, closed ADE, rebooted by computer and tried to re-download the purchased books. The program just stalled even when downloading the books from the seller. Should I try uninstalling the program and reinstalling? thanks for your help.

Hi again,  Just went back to the Kobo, restarted it after downloading the sample and the books appeared! I'm good now - thank you for your help!!
