Splitting an object (ie. Removing Lid from Bottle)

I've downloaded an Adobe stock .obj file to find the lid is not separate from the bottle.

Is it possible to edit an object to separate and save out the lid and bottle elements as individual objects ?

Thanks

Thats great, thank you. Ive managed to slice through the cross section but I cant seem to save it as a .obj file - to the be able to open in Dimensions.

Is it possible to save out as a .obj file ?

    Thanks again for your help.

Hey, I've worked it out - through the 3D panel.

    Again, thanks. Huge help.

Thanks, yes, I'd like to cut along the red line.

Do you know of a simple PSD tutorial that I could follow to make that slice ?
