some do and some don't... whenever you get a Obj from the internet is a bit of a guess as to how well the person who made it did their job and what software they used
for example this rendor was done in Dimension... the bow and sword are from the net, the bow worked without issue but I needed to repair the sword befor Photoshop | Dimension could use it
any model you get from Adobe stock should work fine... most other models can be converted into wavefront | Obj in Photoshop to repair the Uv maps or retextured so its rare to see an Obj that is totally busted... Fbx is the wild card of 3d file systems and the hardest to fix once mested up
