opm.db file is present in your user library.

This library is hidden from MAC 10.7 onwards.

So in order to locate that,

  • Click on Go at the top
  • Select Go to folder
  • type ~/library/
  • This will take you to the library folder and then you can locate opm.db file at Application Support/Adobe

Delete this opm.db file and then launch AAM.

Glad to know that you are able to launch AAM now

Regarding the installation problem, it clearly mention that "Administrator privileges are required"

It seems that the MAC user account  you are on is non Admin or you do not have sufficient admin rights.

You need to check the account permissions or try to create new admin user account and then check installing again.

I verified that the admin permissions  were correct on my MAC user account and they are -

I also tried setting up a new user account with full administrative privledges - launced AAM from the new account and I got the same  - Installation Failed error...

did you tried to download some other application like Photoshop ?

Are you getting the same message with all the apps ?

If that is the case then there is some issues with User account, you may want to run disk utility and verify and repair the permissions and then try downloading again.

I'm having the exact same problem EXCEPT that I used to be able to download just fine. I installed Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AfterEffects and Muse, all without any trouble. Now, all of a sudden I am getting the same message as h2oonstone showed in the first message. I am signed in, but NOTHING shows in the screen and when I go to apps on CC it gives me the error message. I've wasted so much time trying to troubleshoot this already - I just need it to work!

Please help,

M

I ran disk utility verified and repaiered permissions (twice between restarting the system)

I deleted AAM and reinstalled and trashed the OOBE_old folder

then downloaded and reinstalled AAM

then by opening AAM from the desktop (not through my CC account)

I have been able to dowload a number of apps - Audition, Muse, Edge Animate, Lightroom and Photoshop

AAM keeps getting stuck when downloading Illustrator - requires force quitting AAM - then I have to restart by having to turn off/on the computer instead of restarting it - I've tried 3 times so far with no sucess

so thogh I am having some sucess (yeah!)  the AAM is not working seamlessly

h2oonstone are you on a managed network?  If so please point your I.T. department to the Adobe Creative Cloud Service Access Documentation for IT section of http://www.adobe.com/devnet/creativesuite/enterprisedeployment.html.

no i am not - no i.t dept. -

I am not a programmer - am a CC subscriber (artist) trying to install the apps on my second computer - prefer to be at work using the apps rather than troubleshooting or editing code

never had an issue with adobe apps working out of the box before

Well either your software or hardware firewall is interfering or you happen to have a stability problem with your network connection which happens to occur when you are trying to download Illustrator.

Please try an alternate Internet connection to see if your difficulties persist.  If you are on a wireless connection for example please try a wired connection.

Jeff - the firewall is (and has been turned off) - I am on a wireless connection - however have tried to download it 4 or 5 different times with the same result - also - I have been able to download many of the other apps with no problem.

When I have access to a wired connection - I'll try it.

I have exactly them same problem. And I have followed the advices in this discussion and comes as far as "h2oonstone".

Illustrator will not download, says I do not have admin rights anymore. I am the only person working on this license. Cannot find a way to turn admin rights on.

Where do I do that?

Have turned off the firewall, have a wired, good connection. What shall we do now?????

I cannot see the Photoshop CC as an option to download. Shouldn't it be available now?
