The application manager gives me a error U44M1P7 so I tried updates from the site but now I got a updates could not be applied message . This is for Bridge patch 5.0.2, Flash Pro CS6 update 2, FireworkS CS6 , Can't even Find the new Photoshop update for Creative Cloud Photoshop 13.1.2. This all started when I subscribed to Creative Cloud Photoshop yesterday. Can't even install photoshop 13.0.4 which is what I had before with creative suite.
I have been waiting for 170 minutes now for tech support to return call.

Imagepoint the U44M1P7 error means that the update has failed. If the update is available you can try downloading the update from https://internalapps.adobe.com/downloads/updates/. If you continue to experience difficulties though it will be necessary to locate the error messages within the log files for the updates which are failing to apply. Please see Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html for infor

Ok if you see any additional DW063 errors then those will indicate the directories/folders which the software was unable to install into.

Didnt work. Still received the Update Failure error. One of the error messages received is the DW063. Not sure why the app cant write to the directory. PS installed with the initial installation and all other items udated without issues. At this point will have to try another computer to see if it works.

I've been dealing with the update error for a few days now and this morning i tried something that hadn't occured to me until you guys started talking about permissions. So I right clicked photoshop and Ran as Administrator. Then i went help > updates and let it run the update. Low and behold, no error. Maybe this will help some of you. Just thought to let everyone know what worked for me.

Thanks for the message. I tried this a receied the same errors. Not sure whats really causing these permission errors. At this point I'll wait for Monday and do an install of the Photoshop CC application when its released. Hopefully theres no problem there. I havent had any issues with the initial installs for PS and no issues with upgrades of other applications.

Mercurial I don't see any specific errors in your installation logs. It is very strange though because I do see the following type of entries in your installation log:
It would appear that the language files maybe missing but the update you were applying did not consider the language files a requirement to complete the install process. Otherwise we would have also seen the word ERROR on these lines.
In general though if you are having failures of a particular application to launch, and you see no errors in the installation logs, then it is best to start a discussion in that software titles forum. The users in the specific software forum are often aware of steps which are going to be specific to that application. If you are facing problems with InDesign launching I would recommend posting the specifics to the InDesign forum at http://forums.adobe.com/community/indesign.

Thanks, Jeff.
I didn't really intend to post my InDesign issue here, but you asked. 🙂
I kind of felt like my issue wasn't unique enough to warrant an essentially duplicate post of an existing problem, which is why I simply followed the advice in the forums before I contacted support on the phone.
However, I did discover one thing yesterday evening: if I run InDesign as an administrator, it won't crash! I tried this on a hunch, because it was what I used to resolve a different issue I was having with Photoshop and a locked scratch disk.
I thought that creating a separate admin account in Windows and opening InDesign from that might identify any permissions issues with my main Windows account, but evidently not.
Thanks for your advice!
Gary

Mercurial thanks for the update. I would agree with your suggestion on the new user account btw. It is a quick and easy test to test for file permission issues. Especially if you are seeing differences between running an application as an administrator or not.

I have tried everything Adobe support has asked me to do. Now it seems that Adobe is asking me to repeat things I have already done. Please don't send me anymore things to check o try unless you have a definitive answer or solution.
Just fix the problem with Creative Cloud updates so that your customers don't have Togo through this nonsense. It seems that Adobe isn't really listening or admitting that the problem is actually theirs to solve.
This isn't a good business practice especially for the subscription-based services you are trying to promote.
The fact that many others are experiencing the same problem, itch the same apps, must tell you something. And that something is that it isn't a customer specific problem but much more widespread than that.
I plan to wait before I revisit this because I (unlike Adobe) have customers to attend to.

Tech_Coach it might be best for you to contact our support team for direct assistance. You can contact our chat support at http://adobe.ly/yxj0t6.
Please also see message #21 of this discussion which explains what the U44M1P7 error indicates and the need to review the installation log files to determine the exact cause of the failure.

Same thing here. I spent about 5 hours using the chat facility to get absolutely no where. And today, I called the tech support number and spent an hour and one-half until the guy hung-up on me. Seems like they have a support problem and a real problem with the Mac version of Creative Cloud 6.
Each time I have a chat with Adobe, or call tech support, they have me doing the same things. But nothing appears to work. If I have to spend anymore time, I am going to cancell my membership because I just dont have the time to troubleshoot something that should work and that I have paid for.
In my mind Adobe's cloud-based services are not ready for prime time.
I am very frustrated and getting more disappointed by the day.
Perhaps Adobe should just be honest and admit they have a problem to save us all some.

I'm sure this won't help but I just got that error against photoshop (everything else installed fine), I did nothing other than reboot, re-ran Adobe Application Manager and it said I had no updates and when I checked Photoshop it was up to date.
A couple of things that may have caused the error for me were that I'm on Windows 8 (x64) and had a load of installed but pending windows updates waiting to go at reboot.
