Adobe ENCORE not included in CC?

I have updated my CS6 apps to CC version (with few minor problems) on my both computers. Fine!

Surprinsigly, there is no version nor update to ENCORE.

Is it normal? ENCORE CC does'nt exist?

Rob, Thank for the response.  I agree with you about the CC offering.  Products are first class.

I was able to get Encore working yesterday and won't bore the forum with all the callateral hoops I had to jump through in order to end up with Encore loaded and the templates in place.  Suffice to say if this was a consulting gig I would be in a postion to load up my wife's pandora bracelet with a generous assortment of beads for Christmas!  Hopefully, somewhere within the bowls Adobe there is a development team who has identified this gap and assigned the resources necessary to close it.

I have been with Adobe since the 90's.  Honestly, I think the genius of the previous generation has been replaced with utter stupidity.  What Adobe doesn't seem to get is that we DO NOT DETERMINE what our clients are comfortable viewing their pieces in.  When I record video for one of my largest clients, he INSISTS on getting a DVD, regardless of the fact that I can throw it up on YouTube, give him a thumb drive, whatever.  And while Adobe keeps jacking up the price of CC, they strip out options that actually benefit our client relations, while giving us no new options to deal with it.

And what is the point of making me, a user of nearly 2 decades, have to find some other companies products to work with?  I'm sorry, Adobe, but you're just not that cool anymore.  You are no longer the only game in town, and you really need to check your ego at the door and LISTEN to the pages and pages of threads from your users saying GIVE US A WAY TO EASILY BURN DVDS!!!!

Go to the Link below.. The Select Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 .. Download via Cretive Cloud installer then install Premiere Pro CS6 Family.. Once installed remove Premiere pro CS6.. Thats all.. You have your Adobe Encore CS6..

I found this discussion because, while I seldom have to make DVDs (normally upload video), every once in a while I do. And it's always a rush because it takes so long to encode files... I was STARTLED to see that Encore (which was always a little awkward, but at least it worked) isn't included in the CC suite.

Reading all this, I thought I was ok because I still have the whole CS6 suite on my computer - but no...

Encore CS6 can't read my Premiere Pro/AE CC file. It gets half way through loading it and it just stops.

Am I loading it wrong? I can't load it into Premiere Pro CS6 and use Dynamic Link because the CC files aren't compatible with CS6 versions. I'm rethinking the whole CC thing - which is much more expensive and has so much I DON'T NEED - but they take away something we had and DO need? How does this make sense? 

So - how do I make even a simple DVD out of a Premiere Pro CC file? I tried exporting it to a mpeg2 using the presets for making a DVD, and it gave me an Mpeg2 video file, a wav audio file, and an XMP file. I tried burning these onto a DVD but my writer says they're not the right kind of files. Help!!!

Is there another DVD burner software that would work?

Ok... so I was able to get Encore CS6 to work. The Davestechtable video link posted earlier in this thread was TRULY HELPFUL. I was able to get the project finished and it works really well. Sorry for the panic! And thanks to the person who made it - REALLY Helpful!

+1 for Encore CC

this is a real pain ! Our company has invested a lot in the use of creative cloud and not being able to use the dynamic link feature in our project causes us to loose A LOT of time. Since we offer a full service, designing original and client specific DVD / BR interfaces is essential to us. We can't simply export to DVD without a menu interface nothing ! This simply doesn't work for us. DVD/BR is still a real communication tool for many of our customers, Adobe please don't ignore our needs !!!

I am wondering how long this Premiere CS6 workaround is going to work... what happens on the next version update ??? I am really stressed about this situation 😞

If (when?) you buy a new computer and Encore CS6 won't run on your new operating system, you will have to buy different software

I realize there is no future in Encore, I'm just surprised that they will just be killing all the output capabilities of it, outright.  I would have thought that they would make "The next Encore" whatever that would be.

I personally doubt that will happen... but you can tell Adobe what you want at Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form

I would also like to add that disruptions like this cause a great deal of inconvenience to workflow, particularly because the announcement was not adequately advertised.  The disappearance of Encore has left many of us unprepared, struggling to meet deadlines and out on a limb.

Following the insructions in this thread, I did in fact get Encore to install with Creative Cloud.

The solution is to

1) Install Premier 6 from CC

2) Note that Encore comes with it (you might need to check it as an optional feature)

3) Uninstall Premier 6, but select the checkmark to keep Encore

4) If you had Premir CC then you now have the latest Premier and Encore.

I'm happily now using Encore with Creative Cloud Encore. I also had Encore on another machine and was able to copy the templates over.

Wow, sorry to hear about all these issues others are/were having especially the workflow disruptions (though now a lot of this thread is rather stale). However, I thought I would throw my 2 cents in anyway as I am burning some discs from .ISO files and have some time.

In my case, before migrating to the CC subscription I already had the CS6 master suite and had been authoring scores of DVDs in that then moved onto Blu-Ray discs. When I did migrate, I did my homework first and kept the CS6 versions of Premiere Pro and Encore on my computer but started to edit video with the newer CC versions of PP. Now I am using PP CC 2017 and exporting my HD 1080p footage (PAL 25 fps) pre-rendered into Encore CS6 and have zero problems (once I got all my settings worked out just right). I always burn to Verbatim BD-REs first, watch them in their entirety and make sure all is good. Once I am satisfied that I have made no egregious errors (spelling in titles, inadvertently leaving a gap between clips, messing up the pop-up menus, chapters, end actions etc.) then and only then do I burn them to Verbatim BD-Rs from the .ISO file I always make of each disc. I have done this now for nearly 50 Blu-Ray discs and accompanied each with an .ISO file archived. Though I cannot quite recall when an upgrade appeared in my CC app update window and I did "update" the Media Encoder app too and noticed the opening picture updated, as well as adding quite a few more choices for export/output settings. Yay, no problems with any of that still. But Encore remains the same old CS6 version.

The Blu-Ray discs I continue to author play beautifully on my Sony BDP-s790 and it upscales them to 4K on my LG 55" OLED screen (Awesome). The next challenge is coming however as I now have a Sony A6500 camera that shoots in 4K... Probably going to need a new computer and use some of those big ass Blu-Ray discs. My methodical workflow will I suspect be greatly disrupted and I will probably be hitting the forums for some tips!

I am unable to burn a DVD from Premiere CC also but when I installed Premiere Pro C6 from the cloud my newer files edited on CC will not load into the older software.  I don't understand why users should have to jump through a thousand hoops do do something that was very efficient in the older version?  So much for progress.

Adobe has no real support and all the community responses are years old so why hasn't this been fixed?

Not sure if this is still an issue for you, however, you can edit in PP CC and export that media to ENCORE (which comes with PP C6 package) to burn as a DVD as long as you understand the workflow and do it correctly.

Adobe has real support. It’s just that very often forum community entries are much more helpful.

I do not remember when I have created my last DVD, but I do not feel that part missing.

I cannot remember using Pr for making a DVD. It always passed via Encore. As Encore is no more maintained, for reasons that are not depending on Adobe as of my informations, Encore will stop working as soon as the OS will not support it anymore.

You need to acquire a third party program for that in that case.

This is infuriating.  So I must uninstall my Premiere Pro CC then reinstall the inferior version only so I can get this one program that I PAID for, and then I have to uninstall Premiere Pro CS6 only to once again reinstall my Premiere CC.   You are telling me, that there is no way in this whole wide magical world of ours that Adobe can not just, I don't know, MAKE IT AVAILABLE ON IT'S OWN!  This will cost me bandwidth and time I do not have!  I need to burn a DVD for a client and now, I have to either go through all this garbage OR spend $50, $80, $100 or $200 on a DVD burning program that I assumed I had already purchased.

Hi,

You don't have to uninstall CC version. Install Pr CS6, ENCORE comes with, then uninstall Pr CS6.

That's it.
