Once again I'm sorry for posting in this forum but I've contacted Adobe support and have been assured i'll be able to post and that my post will not be vandalised so this SHOULD be the last time i post here.
(To any over eager moderators (Jeff A Wright) please look into case ADB-34301597-J8W9 before taking any action against this post)
So i recently updated Adobe Flash player to 32.0.0.465 but when i did so .swf files stopped displaying the flash image on the .swf files. I know how to replace .ico files but i can't find where flash stores it's .ico file. Thanks to another user (kglad) I now have the files i need to replace the .ico file but i still need to know the physical location of the .ico file in order to update/replace it.

It looks interesting. Not sure if it's a file editor or a registry editor though. Also can't figure out how to use the .ico function on it yet. I've sent off an email to the program developer. Hopefully i'll hear back from him soon. I'll keep you updated with any responses.

does this help,
open file type manager. it'll take a minute or two (maybe less) to load all different file types.
Right click on the specified file type and select the option "Edit Selected File Type" or select the file extension and press F2.
From there you'll be able to set the default icon for that file extension

Well this definitely shows what the problem is. The file type is still directing to the old version of adobe flash which isn't on my computer anymore. Although i have no idea what the -608 means (any clue?).
Still haven't heard back from the developer on whether it's a file editor or a registry editor yet. When/if i hear back from him and he confirms it's not a registry editor I'll let you know how things go.
P.S. I'd just like to thank you for all the help you've been providing both in private and here on the forums. I really appreciate it.

why not change that to the path/name to the extracted icon?

A: I dopn't know what the significance of the -608 is or if another number like it is necessary to complete this specific file path.
And B: I don't know how to do that without the program you provided and i still have not heard back from the developer on whether or not said program edits the registry to do what it does.
I feel it's best to stay safe and be patient for now. All good things in due time as they say.

I have not received a response from the developers of the FileTypesMan program. I don't beleive I will be able to find out if the program is a file editor or a registry editor.
