AMD or Nvidia GPU? CUDA support?

New Here ,

I'm building a Photoshop/Lightroom computer based on Intel's i7-4770K processor.

Is there still no CUDA support in Photoshop?

Should I choose an AMD GPU?

And finally, I'm thinking of putting in 32GB RAM. Is that overkill or can Photoshop utilize that much memory?

Thanks?

Hi fetiflis,

Please check the link below:

Either NVIDIA or AMD should work for you.

32 GB of RAM wont overkill photoshop but whether the program can utilize that much memory or not depends on the type of editing that you are performing.

Thanks

Thank you, avanishdivya!

Appreciate the quick response.

If you can answer this without stepping on anybody's toes , would you choose a Radeon R9 270X 2GB GDDR5 or a Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5?

Maybe even a 3GB card? Or would you spend even more money on a Quadro 2000?
